about
me

I have a strong focus and love for digital-based art, although most of my concepts are conceived within the pages of a regular paper sketchbook. In my personal time I am a fan of fantasy and anime artworks. Most of my inspiration comes from other artists with both similar and diverse styles from my own, movies, books, video games, and other things around me.

My professional goal is to work in the gaming industry as either a Graphic Artist or a 3D Artist, focusing mainly on texturing and later modeling. This is because my preference when working in the professional world is to work outside my personal style so I can further challenge myself with new ideas, themes and work.  I feel with all the diversity this industry has to offer, it would be the perfect place for me to expand my abilities.

In the future I hope to eventually gain enough experience to become an Art Director or a Producer because I enjoy the challenges of working on and managing larger projects.

I graduated from high school in June 2001 and received a diploma in Digital Animation from McKenzie College the following year. This one-year program reinforced my desire to pursue further education in the arts, particularly in animation.

I was accepted to NBCC's Art Fundamentals program in Miramichi to advance my skills. Upon completing the program I went on to graduate from their concentrated 2-year Animation and Graphics Technology program.
After finishing my studies in Miramichi, I was accepted into the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax. I was accredited the equivalent of 63 credits from my previous experience, which was applied towards a Fine Arts degree (majoring in film) that I completed in the spring of 2009.

Between 2006 and 2009, while attending NSCAD, I carried a full course load and worked both part- and full-time for Adventus Inc. as their Graphic Artist, as well as their Artistic Director. I remain on good terms with this company and have continued to do on call consultations as needed.
